Whew, what a relief to be back up and running. Our host moved their server and the site was down longer than expected. We weren't exactly thrilled, but now that things are moving again, the hard feelings aren't so hard.

Additionally, I've been making some tweaks to the site. It's no longer necessary to login, or even have an account, to post comments, and I've added a new CAPTCHA to the comment form. Coincidentally, or perhaps not, shortly after I did that, the site started serving up errors when trying to sign up or post anything. Fudge. That, too, appears to be fixed, but I'll continue to monitor it.

Speaking of outages, I've been meaning to post about the ice storm and power loss last week, and just haven't gotten around to it. It was a harrowing ordeal, as ordeals go, but we got through it alive and in one piece(s). A couple days with no heat seems to make it easier to stomach turning down the thermostat a little. Not that I'd like to experience it all again.

So like usual, not much going on that compels me to post something more substantial. Maybe I'll get around to that ice storm post. Maybe.
