A hikin' we a-go

I feel even more behind than usual. Not so much because I haven't posted anything for a couple weeks but because I've actually had things to post and never got around to it. To make up for lost time, I'll start with something a little older: our hiking adventure.

All the crap that's fit to post

There's really no delicate way to put any of this, but it's a major medical development in my life, so I felt it bears exploiting explaining. Yes, I've had chronic diarrhea for quite some time, and I finally got around to doing something about it.

Who needs cable when you got the ghetto?

Okay, we don't really live in the ghetto, per se, but it's about as close as one gets in this part of the state. Having said that, one of the few perks is the sheer entertainment value our less-than-educated denizens provide. Living on the corner next to a major thoroughfare means we're privy to a high degree of police activity. The accompanying picture is the best of series of photos I took of a car pulled over Friday night, it's occupants patted down, but eventually sent on their way.

We will never forget

I was going to write this to accompany today's comic, but this is too important to relegate anywhere but here.

How I spent my summer vacation Labor Day weekend

What with the Labor Day weekend and all, we had the oh-so-original notion to take the kids on one last road trip to herald the end of summer. Wanting to travel relatively close to home, Cancun, Hawaii and Disney World were all out. Fortunately, we live within a couple-hour drive of some of the most exciting world-class tourist destinations in the, um, world.

Yes, but will it clean my hands?

I've been sick for a bit, so I haven't gotten around to updating in a while. I was kinda worried about what to come back with, so I thought maybe a little humour was in order. Once again, thanks goes to Jason P.

Spaghetti sauce, be damned

Okay, this didn't turn out like I thought it would. Frankly, the picture is crap, and it's the best one I could get. Turns out my new camera phone is less than stellar when it comes to close-ups. So what looks like a mosquito bite is actually a marinara burn.

Um, whoops

Boy, do I feel sheepish. Here I made all this hullabaloo about getting my blog up and running again, and then I don't post anything. Plus, I said I wasn't going to write anymore about the site itself, yet here I am. Sigh.

Dipping my toes in the water

At long last, I'm proud (yet somehow a little ashamed) to announce Itzoe.net is finally back. It's been a long, arduous road, and things aren't nearly where they were before, but given time I hope to get there eventually.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus website update

This is one of those good news-bad news-good news kind of things. Good news is we haven't abandoned the site. Bad news is we're still having issues with our web host. Good news is I've been working on a new design that (hopefully) will mitigate the errors. Bad news is I don't when it'll be ready.

Okay, I guess that was a good news-bad news-good news-bad news thing.
