It's best to start at the beginning

You may have noticed some changes. For one, if you're reading this then, well, obviously I finally brought the Michael Andrew site back after far too long. Second, as I mentioned once before I redesigned the site to integrate into the overall larger Itzoe.net site as was originally intended.
I've also mentioned before that I've let music take a back seat to the daily grind of supporting a family. Making music and being successful at it takes time and effort. But I do regret not having done more for the past decade. I'm itching to get back to it, but I've had and will continue to have not insurmountable obstacles. One of which is re-establishing an online presence.
To that end, I've begun the process of uploading my work to SoundCloud.com and SoundClick.com. I've also updated my MySpace profile, which previously was my only non-Itzoe.net venue on the web. SoundCloud allows me to stream my songs and accept comments, while SoundClick allows me to sell them.
Also, I talked before about pianos. Funnily enough, a couple months back I bought an electric piano at an auction for twenty bucks. Also, turns out it came from Ryman Auditorium, which is pretty cool in itself. The best part, though is that it packs up into a semi-portable travel case. That is, portable if you're a touring musician, but for me it means it stores nicely under the futon in my office.
Finally, I experimented with electronic music-making not too long ago, which I haven't done as much as I would've liked thus far. The missus also just got me a second recording software package, so things are definitely on the upswing. All together it means its time to dust off my old songbooks, brush up on the piano, and get back to it. I don't know what's going to happen, but I think it's going to be an incredible journey.
